Law and literature had been a school and movement last century of the postmodern legal studies; Law and Poetics could be viewed as a branch of it, whereas originated much earlier than Law and Literature, which had generated in the ancient Greece.
Aristotle’s Poetics provided the specific poetic emotions studies which could be related to the justice issues.
One broader sense of Law and Literature Studies is on the legal emotion and in the psychological way. Law and Poetics, could provide the study on legal emotion and legal ethics.
Viewing the dramas as a kind of justice education, which could be summarized as Poetic justice, as to Aristotle’s Poetics, the poetic art contains the standard and feelings of justice.
If the poems express more ethical meanings than the poetic quality, the poetic justice could be viewed as a kind of ethical education.
There are several important enlightenments from the poetic justice, which could also be the supplements to the judicial justice ideas.
Some elements in the form of art as the plays, could be the supplement to the legal analysis, these similar elements could also be contained in real law cases, which could be the core ideas for the legal issues, which could widely be considered as literary, religious, political and social justice.
The justice, social and political justice, could help the law to be more accurate to be applied and face the true world of our humanity and truth.

The law does not care about the natural sin and natural paradox, but only discipline and punish the ones breaching the reason rules. (Aristotle, Politics). But the perspective from Law and Poetics, could directly cope with much more complicated situations of the humanity, reality, paradox and complex, etc.
Dramas such as the Shakespeare’s could share with some common elements which the real law cases hide, but the correct judgements have to refer to the broader and deeper framework of the justice argumentation, besides legal justice, there could be the ethical, political and social justice, which could be the very important reference for the quality and standard of the judicial judgements.
Different to the western epics and poems, dramas, the anti-ethical feelings should be excluded and not promulgated in the ethical education by the rites and Confucian education doctrines in Chinese culture and legal history.
Because in the human world, the family and ethical happiness is the most important value, which was also connotated in the historically ethical poems such as Shijing (the historically earliest poetry in China), which is within the standard of the justice justified in Chinese traditional culture and history.
