Description:
Democratic states are currently facing a series of internal and external threats that challenge the integrity of their democratic quality, create inequality gaps in citizens' access to fundamental rights, and threaten the effective exercise of fundamental rights as a consequence of the extraordinary development of artificial intelligence. All this represents a new and potent challenge for fundamental rights and public policies.

Topics:
Our analysis of the current challenges for fundamental rights and the new demands on public policy considers four topics: (i) challenges for democratic governance; (ii) access to rights and inequality gaps; (iii) conflicts between technological development and fundamental rights, and (iv) the challenge of the covid regulation for constitutional rights.
