Workshop’s subject: The purpose of the workshop is to prompt theoretical inquiries on individual legal positions, where a party’s conduct is normatively regulated by the law. The analysis of such positions clarifies practical legal problems, informs a scientific understanding of the law, and illuminates normative controversies over the status individuals enjoy, or should enjoy, under the law. The workshop will provide a collaborative environment in which both civil-law and common-law scholars can address theoretical issues of fundamental concern to all contemporary legal systems.
Workshop presentations: Each speaker will have 20 minutes to present his/her paper, followed by a 20 minutes discussion with the audience. Papers are welcome at any stage of elaboration. In order to enhance the quality of the discussion, speakers are invited to send a draft of their presentation and a short CV at least by June 25 to the following email:
