We, the workshop coordinators, are steadfast in our commitment to a traditional approach to philosophy. The aim of our workshop is, namely, to seek the foundational principles underlying the theory and practice related with law and society, above all inspired by Western as well as Eastern classics, modern enlightenment, contemporary discourse of phenomenology, analytical philosophy, post-modern, critical theory etc. Our primary objective is to engage in philosophical discourse without any preconceived notions or presuppositions. We eagerly anticipate interactions between individuals who share a philosophical inclination in the sense of seeking something original, fundamental, principal, and transcendental. This workshop will be conducted in three languages: English, German, and Spanish.

The aim of our workshop is, namely, to seek the foundational principles underlying the theory and practice related with law and society. Our primary objective is to engage in philosophical discourse without any preconceived notions or presuppositions. We eagerly anticipate interactions between individuals who share a philosophical inclination in the sense of seeking something original, fundamental, principal, and transcendental.
This constitutes the core concept of our special workshop. Within this framework, those topics are expected to be brought to a discussion such as human dignity, friendship, love, justice, power, and more. Furthermore, it belongs to our common interest to develop one’s own philosophical ideas on the basis of the works of various authors spanning from the Western tradition of Greek classics, medieval theologians, the enlightenment of the new age, Eastern tradition of Buddhist and Confucian ethics, and contemporary discourse of phenomenology existentialism, analytical philosophy, pragmatism, post-modern, critical theory, etc.
The sole premise of our special workshop is that participants are not obliged to present accurately researched outcomes in the form of precise textual exegesis. Instead, the emphasis lies on maintaining a philosophical disposition, enabling consistent, profound, and fundamental thinking. The essence of our session is not to serve as a formal platform for delivering exhaustive research reports. It is, rather, a forum where each participant can freely share their unique ideas about law and society and engage in meaningful dialogue with one another.

Nehmen die Philosophie ernst in Bezug auf Recht und Gesellschaft – Eine Sitzung für die philosophische Diskussion
Die Arbeitsgruppe-Koordinatoren stehen fest in unserem Bekenntnis zu einem traditionellen Ansatz der Philosophie. Ziel unserer Arbeitsgruppe ist es nämlich, nach den Grundprinzipien der Theorie und Praxis von Recht und Gesellschaft zu suchen. Unser vorrangiges Ziel ist es, einen philosophischen Diskurs ohne vorgefasste Stellungen oder Voraussetzungen zu führen. Wir erwarten mit Spannung die Interaktionen zwischen Individuen, die eine philosophische Neigung im Sinne der Suche nach etwas Originellem, Grundlegendem, Prinzipiellem und Transzendentalem teilen. Dies ist der Kerngedanke unserer Sonderarbeitsgruppe. In diesem Rahmen wird erwartet, dass Themen wie Menschenwürde, Freundschaft, Liebe, Gerechtigkeit, Macht und mehr zur Diskussion gebracht werden. Darüber hinaus gehört es zu unserem gemeinsamen Interesse, eigene philosophische Ideen auf der Grundlage verschiedener Werke sowohl von der westlichen Tradition der griechischen, mittelalterlichen neuzeitlichen Klassik, als auch der östlichen Klassik vom Buddhismus und Konfuzianismus, als auch den Zeitgenossen der Phänomenologie, des Existenzialismus, der analytischen Philosophie, des Pragmatismus, der Postmoderne, der kritischen Theorie usw. zu entwickeln.

Tomar la filosofía en serio en el derecho y la sociedad - una sesión de charla filosófica Nosotros, los coordinadores del GT, somos firmes en nuestro compromiso con un enfoque tradicional de la filosofía. El objetivo de nuestro grupo de trabajo es, concretamente, buscar los principios fundacionales que subyacen a la teoría y la práctica relacionadas con el derecho y la sociedad. Nuestro objetivo principal es participar en un discurso filosófico sin nociones o presuposiciones preconcebidas. Anticipamos con impaciencia interacciones entre individuos que comparten una inclinación filosófica en el sentido de buscar algo original, fundamental, principal y trascendental.
Ésta es la idea central de nuestro grupo de trabajo especial. En este marco se espera que se discutan temas como la dignidad humana, la amistad, el amor, la justicia, el poder y más. Además, forma parte de nuestro interés común desarrollar nuestras propias ideas filosóficas sobre la base de diversas obras tanto de la tradición occidental del clasicismo moderno griego y medieval, como del clasicismo oriental del budismo y el confucianismo, así como de los contemporáneos del fenomenología, existencialismo, filosofía analítica, pragmatismo, posmodernismo, teoría crítica, etc.
